Brandon joins the KOIN 6 News team after spending a career covering all four corners of Colorado. Growing up in Denver and reporting in the communities of Grand Junction and Colorado Springs, Brandon saw the urban-rural divide play out firsthand.

During his career, he’s covered countless wildfires, and battles over natural resources such as water rights and in the oil and gas industry, as well as reported on how the changing climate is transforming the American West. He is passionate about covering the environment, society’s impact on it, as well as holding elected leaders accountable and helping the unheard have a voice.

He’s reported for KOIN 6 News in the past, coming up to help in the Labor Day Fires of 2020. He was stationed in Marion County covering the Beachie Creek Fire and told the story of the death of local activist George Atiyeh.

Brandon graduated from Colorado Mesa University in 2015 majoring both in Mass Communication and Sports Management.

Brandon is excited to trade the Colorado Mountains for Oregon’s Volcanoes and Pacific Coast. He loves spending time outdoors as his Twitter Bio suggests, he’s “probably in the mountains” when he’s not working, either hiking, climbing, or skiing.

Brandon invites the Pacific Northwest to join him and continue to root for Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos after the historic trade brought the Donkeys back to relevancy! “Relax,” Brandon says, “You guys will always have Super Bowl 48.”
