Brenna Greene is a Sports Anchor/Reporter at KOIN 6. She joined the KOIN in July 2022 after spending the previous four years at KREM in Spokane, Washington, where she served as the Sports Director.
Brenna is a Portland native who spent all 18 years of her life in the area before going to college at Gonzaga in Spokane. Brenna has also made stops in Great Falls, Montana, and Reno, Nevada, in her career.
Ever since she was a child, Brenna has been infatuated with teams, players, and their stories. If she wasn’t watching sports, she had her face buried in the paper’s sports section trying to memorize every fact she could possibly get her hands on. She grew up an avid fan of the Blazers and Ducks and comes from a family that goes back four generations at Oregon State. Brenna’s first sports memory was the crushing Blazers’ loss in the 2000 Western Conference Finals. Even with the sad ending, Brenna was hooked on sports after that. Shortly thereafter, Brenna began attending Oregon Duck games and only missed one home game from third grade on, including skipping her senior year Homecoming to go to Oregon’s epic 2009 Halloween win over USC. As Brenna became older, she realized that her future job must involve telling others’ stories through sports. She considers the fact that she gets to do this every day a huge honor.
When she’s not working, she’s an avid hiker, nature photographer, and cat mom. She also can probably be found… you guessed it… watching a lot of sports.
