A basketball fanatic (and overall sports nut), Jamie Hudson joins the KOIN 6 Sports team as a part-time anchor and reporter.
Jamie grew up in the Pacific Northwest and has called Portland her home for more than a decade.
She’s grown to love Oregon’s incredible passion for sports while covering the Trail Blazers, Ducks, Beavers, Timbers, and Thorns (among others) for the past 10 years working for NBC Sports Northwest.
Jamie has her great-grandmother to thank for her sports passion. With her family’s rooted fandom of the Seattle Mariners, Seattle Seahawks, and Seattle SuperSonics, Jamie knows all too well about success and heartache at times.
One of her most fond memories in elementary school was meeting Sonics big man Vin Baker at the Sea-Tac Airport. Jamie still has the autographed Sonics Starter coat that Baker graciously signed.
Her love for basketball blossomed even more while she attended Gonzaga University. She never missed a Gonzaga Men’s Basketball game in The Kennel and still continues to root on her beloved Zags.
And if anyone is looking to play in a pickup volleyball game, Jamie is ready to go. She carries a portable volleyball net in the trunk of her car at all times. She welcomes all challengers!
