Claire Anderson, KOIN 6 News’ Morning Meteorologist, joined the KOIN team in June 2016.
Previously, Claire worked in Santa Barbara, California as CBS KCOY 12’s Morning Weather Anchor and Fox 11’s Morning Traffic Anchor in May 2014.
She graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in communications and received her Meteorology Certificate through Mississippi State University’s Broadcast Meteorology program in October 2016.
While going to school at UW, Claire had four internships, both Q13 FOX News and KOMO 4 News in Seattle. She was also very involved with her sorority, Delta Gamma, and leadership programs.
Claire is from the Pacific Northwest and grew up just south of Seattle. She is a native of Enumclaw, Washington, and grew up skiing at Crystal Mountain and Snoqualmie Pass. She loves to go back to Seattle to visit family and friends.
When she’s not forecasting the weather or reporting, she loves to play volleyball, tennis, meet new people, try new restaurants and explore the outdoors.
