Trevor Ault, Morning Reporter

Trevor Ault joined the KOIN 6 morning news team as a breaking news anchor and reporter in April of 2016.

Before moving to Portland, Trevor spent several years at WTOL 11 in his hometown of Toledo, Ohio. While there, he worked in essentially every possible on air position- behind the anchor desk, on the scene reporting breaking news, providing sports, traffic, or digital coverage, and even forecasting the weather (once, out of desperation). He’s covered topics as serious as the Toledo water crisis and as silly as the time an atlas moth laid an egg on his face live on the air.

Prior to working at WTOL, Trevor covered the Minnesota Vikings for FOX Sports Interactive and Syracuse Sports for ESPN Radio CNY.  He holds a Master’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from Syracuse University and a Bachelor’s in Communications from Defiance College, the only school small enough to allow him to play collegiate sports.

Outside of broadcasting, Trevor tries to remain active any way he can.  He’s an avid reader and is always down for a game of pick-up basketball.  He likes using social media and the internet to find obscure bands and movies, and he also enjoys acting pretentious about liking obscure bands and movies.

If you’d like to contact Trevor with a story idea or comment, feel free to email him at Trevor.Ault@KOIN.com. You can also reach out to him on Twitter or on Facebook.
