Oregon lawmakers considering bill on catalytic converter sales

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Oregon lawmakers are considering a bill that would make it harder for scrap metal businesses to buy or receive catalytic converters.

If passed, the bill would also require certain personal information to be recorded when it comes to the sale of these parts. The bill’s sponsor, Oregon State Senator Chris Gorsek, joined AM Extra Thursday to discuss the details.
