MILWAUKIE, Ore. (KOIN 6) — The players on the Portland Winterhawks are young men often still in high school. They attend school in the area, and Friday four of the Winterhawks visited one of their favorite teachers from Milwaukie High School.
On November 17, English teacher Kyle Knight was diagnosed with testicular cancer. Four of his Winterhawks students stopped by his house to surprise him, his wife and son.
