Reporter
Elise Haas joined KOIN 6 News this Morning as a reporter in June 2018. She’s a morning person, so she doesn’t mind being in the office at 3:30 a.m.
Before Portland, Elise worked at KEPR Action News in Pasco, Washington where she covered national breaking news events like the emergency at the Hanford Nuclear Site after the tunnel collapse, the shooting at Freeman High School south of Spokane, as well sharing stories of victims in the Las Vegas Massacre and Texas church shooting.
Even before the Ramblers and Sister Jean captivated the country in the 2018 NCAA Championship, Elise was a proud Loyola University Chicago alumna.
Elise’s passion lies in investigative reporting: Her desire to become an investigative reporter began while working with WMAQ’s NBC 5 Investigative team in Chicago.
Before calling the Pacific Northwest home, Elise lived in Overland Park, Kansas where she first discovered her love of journalism back in high school.
So naturally, she loves her Royals and KC barbeque.
When she isn’t reporting and writing, she’s rock climbing, snowboarding, skateboarding, practicing sun salutations or playing outside.
