PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — One of the suspect wanted in connection with an August 20 homicide in Portland surrendered Wednesday morning, but the other suspect remains at large.

Deshondra Rayford, 19, turned herself in and was booked on a 3rd-degree assault charge, Portland police said. However Leonard Edwards, 18, remains on the loose. There is a 2nd-degree murder warrant out for Edwards, authorities said.

They were being sought in the shooting death of Johnny Polanco, 30, in a convenience store parking lot near SE 92nd and Holgate.

The Portland Police Homicide Detectives investigated the scene. Polanco was taken to the hospital, but did not make it.

A third suspect was identified as a woman, but her name will not be released as she’s a minor. Authorities said she has been interviewed and is no longer of interest,
