Wrong-way for miles: Woman arrested for DUII

Shelby Lee Terebisi, 24, allegedly drove the wrong way for miles in Washington County, September 19, 2019 (Washington County Sheriff's Office)

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A woman driving the wrong way for miles was arrested early Thursday by Washington County deputies after multiple calls to 911 from witnesses who reported her erratic driving.

Shelby Lee Terebisi was stopped around 3:15 a.m. after allegedly driving the wrong way — west in the eastbound lanes — along NW Sunset Highway, SW Market Street in Portland to NW Murray Boulevard in Beaverton.

Her silver Ford Fusion was pulled over near NW Murray and Jenkins after driving up and down Murray “several times with a flat tire,” authorities said. When deputies looked in her car they spotted an open Coors Light can, they said.

The 24-year-old from Beaverton was booked for DUII, reckless driving and reckless endangerment.

One witness said he was almost hit by the wrong-way car, but no one was hurt in the incident.
