One dies days after apartment fire in Albina district

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A woman pulled from a burning apartment early Sunday morning in Portland’s Albina neighborhood died of her injuries 3 days later.

She was one of 2 people who were injured in the 2-alarm fire that ripped through an apartment building in the 3900 block of North Albina Street.

Portland police said 26-year-old Sarah Oxenreider died Thursday at a local hospital.

A man was hospitalized with minor injuries related to jumping out of a window to escape the fire inside a two-story apartment building at 3955 N. Albina St.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
