PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – The man accused of lighting his apartment building on fire has been indicted by a grand jury.
Louis Cornelius Duncan is scheduled to appear in Multnomah County Circuit Court on Friday where he will be arraigned on allegations of first-degree arson and six counts of recklessly endangering another.
According to Portland Fire & Rescue, Duncan started the fire that damaged several units at a 6-plex apartment building on Nov. 2 along Northeast Killingsworth
There were no reported injuries.
Duncan was taken into custody after he was found watching the fire burn.
Damage estimates to the building have been determined to be anywhere from $350,000 to $900,000, according to court documents.
