PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A two-vehicle crash in Southeast Portland killed a teenager and sent another to the hospital with serious injuries, authorities said.
Just after 1 p.m. Thursday afternoon, Portland police responded to a crash at SE Duke Street and 72nd Avenue between a Tesla and a tow truck.
Investigators said Daniel Q. London was driving the 2022 Tesla Model Y when it slammed into a Freightliner flatbed tow truck.
London was declared dead at the scene. He was 19. Authorities said the tow truck driver was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. A third vehicle was involved by debris from the crash.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
