Highway 26 shuts down in both directions after crash near Banks

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Highway 26 is shut down in both directions 20 miles west of Banks following a crash between a pickup and a semi-truck, officials said.

The semi reportedly leaked approximately 30 gallons of diesel fuel, according to Oregon State Police, who said the leak has since been stopped.

Officials said the closure may last several hours into evening rush hour as crews work to clear the scene.

While OSP said there are injuries from the crash, the agency noted further information is not available.
