Argay Terrace homicide victim ID’d as 17-year-old boy

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The death of a teenager who was found in the Argay Terrace neighborhood early Sunday has officially been ruled as a homicide.

According to the Oregon State Medical Examiner, 17-year-old Sergio Hunt died from homicidal violence. After his body was found on Sunday, police said the death investigation had revealed “some suspicious circumstances.”

Portland police were called to a crash scene in the 14300 block of NE Milton Street around 6:30 a.m. Sunday, authorities said. Hunt had already died by the time the officers arrived, and they noticed evidence indicating a crash.

Police did not specify what “suspicious circumstances” were revealed in the investigation and have not given any more details as to what type of homicidal violence was inflicted.

Vancouver Public Schools told KOIN 6 News Hunt went to Fort Vancouver High School for his freshman year and part of his sophomore year. He also played basketball at the school.

Residents along NE Milton said they woke up to a shocking scene on Sunday.

“I looked out and there was a dead body in the street, naked except for a pair of underwear that were not pulled up,” said a neighbor named Mary. “There was several items in the street. One looked like an alcoholic beverage can.”

She also said “there was so much blood in the street I didn’t understand how it could just be an accident.”
