PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man accused of shooting someone at a bar last month in Northeast Portland was arrested in Idaho and charged with attempted murder.
Rondre Wells, 24, was found in Ada County, Idaho and sent back to Oregon on Wednesday, according to the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office.
Court documents show Portland police responded to reports of a shooting in the early morning hours of Aug. 9 at Glass House Tavern in the 9700 block of Northeast Sandy Boulevard.
A man who had been shot was taken to a trauma hospital. He later told officers he was shot once in the right side of the chest.
Officers spoke with witnesses at the scene and learned about 3 people had been in some kind of altercation outside of the bar. Shots were fired just outside the front door, according to court documents, and multiple firearms were found during the investigation.
Wells was booked at the Multnomah County Detention Center on Wednesday on charges of attempted murder with a gun, 1st-degree assault with a gun, unlawful use of a weapon with a firearm enhancement and being a felon in possession of a firearm with a firearm enhancement.
