BEAVERTON, Ore. (KOIN) — A Washington County man wanted for rape and sexual abuse of a teenage girl dating back to 2017 was arrested Monday in Beaverton.
Felipe De Jesus Jimenez-Interian was indicted in November 2017 by a grand jury but fled before he was arrested.
Investigators said he victimized a 16-year-old girl he worked with at a restaurant where he was a cook at that time.
On November 29, 2017, he walked out of a work release center in Hillsboro and never returned, the Beaverton Police Department said at the time.
According to court documents, Jimenez-Interian checked out of the work-release center at 6:45 p.m. that evening, He was expected back at 9 p.m., but never arrived.
While he was on the loose, authorities said he used the aliases Julian Parraza, Martin Salgado-Guadarrama and variations of his own name.
Jimenez-Interian was arrested at Bannings restaurant in Tigard, where he worked as a cook.
Investigators “are concerned” the 32-year-old victimized others during the time he evaded the law.
“At any restaurant that he may have been working at, if they employ people under the age of 18 — which was his targeted victim before — then he would certainly have access to those folks,” Beaverton Police Officer Jeremy Shaw told KOIN 6 News.
He’s now in the Washington County Jail on the 2017 charges — one count of rape and 4 counts of sexual abuse — along with 3 other arrest warrants, officials said.
On Wednesday he entered not guilty pleas to all the charges and is being held on $250,000 bond.
Authorities told KOIN 6 News there is no ICE hold for him.
The investigation is active and ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Maggie Brown at 503.526.25238.
