PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man was shot and killed in Southeast Portland early Saturday morning, said local police.
Just after 5 a.m., East Precinct officers were called out to the area of SE Stark Street and SE 151st Avenue after gunfire was reported. Officers found a dead man at the scene.
Officers searched the area for an armed suspect, however that search was suspended a short time later. Police did not specify if an arrest was made in relation to the shooting.
The victim has not been identified. Portland Police said the Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the official cause and manner of death, as well as release the victim’s identity at a later date.
