Revolver, meth, cocaine found during Portland traffic stop

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Portland officers found a gun and drugs during a Tuesday night traffic stop.

Officers with the Portland Police Bureau’s Gun Violence Reduction Team stopped a car they said was speeding at about 11 p.m. near SE 167th Avenue and East Burnside.

They found a revolver, over 62 grams of cocaine and over 19 grams of methamphetamine in the vehicle, authorities said.

The alleged driver, identified as 21-year-old Darin Carter, was arrested and booked at the Multnomah County Detention Center. He faces multiple charges including felon in possession of a firearm and possession and delivery of cocaine and meth.
