PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A Gladstone family with 7 children escaped injury when fire erupted at their home just after midnight Saturday, the Clackamas Fire District said.
The 2-alarm blaze likely started on the outside and quickly got into the house and the attic in the 1600 block of Amonson Court, officials said. The family got out and called for help.
Investigators said the home suffered about $300,000 damage in the blaze that also took the life of a family pet.
It took fire crews about an hour to put it out. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
