GRESHAM, Ore. (KOIN) – The mother of a teenager shot to death inside a Gresham home was arrested and will be charged with murder, police told KOIN 6 News.
Dianne Davidoff, 42, is accused of shooting and killing her 17-year-old son, Jacob Ryan Davidoff, around 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the home in the 2800 block of SE Rosefinch Drive.
When officers arrived at the house, they tried to perform CPR on the teen, but their efforts were not successful.Gresham Police Officer Malaka Kerbs told KOIN 6 News the teen was shot in the back.
Kerbs did not comment on a motive.
KOIN 6 News learned Jacob Davidoff was last enrolled in the Gresham Barlow School District at Metro East Web Academy in 2014.
Court records in Multnomah County show the home went into foreclosure in September 2012. In February 2014 the sale of the home was cancelled, and in November 2014 Wells Fargo asked the sheriff’s office to take control of the house.
The occupants did not vacate the home, court records showed, and in August 2015 another notice was sent to them to leave.

Bruce Maiden, who lives next door to the Davidoffs, told KOIN 6 News Dianne Davidoff “seemed to be going through a lot of fears and thought people were chasing her.”
He also said she “showed us a gun about a month ago.”
Dianne Davidoff lived at the home for about 5 years, Maiden said, and added she was unemployed for the past 3 or 4 months.
Maiden’s daughter and her husband were in the process of buying the Davidoff residence, he said. They were out to dinner and let his daughter and son-in-law use their home to sign the paperwork.
At 7:26 p.m., Maiden’s son-in-law texted Davidoff to see if she signed her side of the real estate paperwork. She replied to the text quickly.
The shooting was reported just 7 minutes later, and Maiden said his daughter and son-in-law heard the shooting.
Davidoff will be charged with murder and unlawful use of a weapon. Her first court appearance was scheduled for Monday and she is being held without bail.
