What parents need to know about monkeypox as kids return to school

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A concern parents may have as kids return to the classroom is monkeypox.

The Oregon Health Authority is currently monitoring 116 cases, with one case confirmed in a child.

Dr. Ann Loeffler, a deputy health officer with Multnomah County, shared what parents need to know.
