PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — In a different ranking of hipster cities, Portland comes in second, but not behind perennial hipster spot Austin.
In fact, Austin didn’t even make the Top 10 in the list from Infogroup.com
Portland trails Seattle, making the Pacific Northwest the hipster-est spot in the US.
The rankings were based on the metro areas that have products and businesses that appeals to hipsters: microbreweries, retail spots for records-tapes-CDs, non-chain coffee shops, thrift shops, bike dealers, tattoo parlors and live entertainment.
Infogroup.com said Portland is “a city that cannot deny its hipster soul. … Everyone in Portland is a little bit hip.”Here’s the whole list:
