Man jailed for alleged sex act with dog

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. (KOIN) – Prosecutors have filed charges against a man for having sexual contact with an animal.

Jeremy Santangelo is facing two counts of sexual assault of an animal and one count of fourth degree assault. The charges were filed earlier this month, and Santangelo was just arrested late last week.

According to court records, Santangelo caused a dog to touch and contact his sex organs for the purpose of arousing and gratifying sexual desire. Additionally, Santangelo touched the dog’s sexual organs, prosecutors said. The alleged incident happened on Aug. 8.

Details of the reported assault, which involved a female, were not immediately available.

Santangelo remains in the Klamath County Jail. His bail has been set at $25,000. He is scheduled to be back in court on Sep. 22.
