In May, Luyster allegedly pistol whipped his 32-year-old ex-girlfriend, who is the mother of his child.
When police responded to arrest Luyster at his house, they heard gun fire from the woods nearby. Deputies thought he was shooting at them and eventually talked him into surrendering.

He was charged with 2nd-degree assault, 9 counts of unlawful possession of firearms and reckless endangerment.
In 2013, Luyster, his brother Robert and a man named Donald McElfish were arrested for an alleged racial attack at the QuarterDeck Bar in Vancouver.
All 3 have with ties to a white supremacy group and were charged at that timewith 2nd-degree felony assault and racially motivated malicious harassment for the incident.
The men arrived at the tavern, saw a black man sitting with a white woman at the bar. Court documents at that time said Brent Luyster made a racially pointed remark about it. Robert Luyster shouted a threat, got a gun from his car, put a bullet into the chamber, stepped outside and pointed the gun at 3 people standing there, documents said.
Robert then gave the gun to his brother Brent, who also began to threaten the 3 men. The Luysters left in McElfish’s car when they heard police coming.
The Luysters, court documents said, hold racist beliefs and have previously been associated with the Skinheads.
