No suspects, reward offered in Baechler slaying

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Days after a man was found shot to death in a Southeast Portland home, Crime Stoppers of Oregon has offered a reward in the case.

Gary Jay Baechler was found inside a house in the 6900 block of SE 110th Avenue on February 28. The 48-year-old had been shot multiple times.

Investigators said they have no suspect information at this time.

His sister Tammie Baechler is also pleading for help. She says her brother was well liked.

“If someone had a problem he’d help, if someone needed something he’d help, if it was raining he would hand you an umbrella. He was that kind of guy.”The family began a GoFundMe to help with funeral expenses

Crime Stoppers of Oregon is offering a reward of up to $2500 for unsolved homicides.
