Ridgefield man strangled by rope, 3 charged

CLARK COUNTY, Wash. (KOIN) — Three men were arrested after they allegedly assaulted a Ridgefield man earlier in August.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office said the man was attacked on Aug. 12 while inside a vehicle. The victim suffered serious injuries after the suspects assaulted him multiple times with a knife and baton-type objects. The victim was also strangled with a rope.

Deputies said the man managed to escape and run to the nearby fire station.

Five days later, on Aug. 17, one of the suspects — Jerrel Revette — was arrested in Vancouver after authorities obtained a search warrant. At the home, they also found the vehicle used in the alleged attack and some of the victim’s belongings.

On Wednesday, detectives arrested the two remaining suspects in a Portland home. They were identified as Eron M. Mendoza and Evan D. Ebeo.

All three suspects have been charged with 1st-degree attempted murder, 1st-degree robbery and unlawful imprisonment.
