PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — In 2016, Marissa was 12 and looking for an adoptive home when she was profiled on Wednesday’s Child.
In 2018, she was profiled again, only this time with her forever family. Marissa’s adoptive older sister Mary saw the original story aired by KOIN 6 News in 2016 and urged her parents, Dawn and Mark, to consider adopting the young girl.
Marissa reads to kids at Barnes & Noble, the same spot where we first met her. She comes back to the store as her way of giving back.
