Ducking Around: Oregon aims to conquer the Trojans

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The Oregon Ducks are looking to move on from a nail-biter of a game they won against the Cougars thanks to a last-second field goal.

The 37-35 win over the Cougars snapped the Ducks four-game losing streak to WSU and improved the Ducks record to 7-1 and have the Ducks sitting at first place in the Pac-12 North Division.

Though the last-second field goal from freshman kicker Cameron Lewis won the game, the highlight player was sophomore running back C.J. Verdell, who exploded for 257 yards and three touchdowns. Verdell gave the Ducks offense a spark right when they needed to.

Now, with momentum on their side, the Ducks head down to Los Angeles to take on the USC Trojans.

Scott Reed, a senior writer for Ducks Sports Authority, joins Ducking Around to break down the Ducks chances to win the conference as well as what he took away from the Washington State win.

Also, Joe Fischer, a reporter and producer for 1080TheFan, dissects this USC team and the possible threat they pose to the Ducks.
