AIDS Walk Northwest aims to combat HIV/AIDS stigma
The fight against HIV and AIDS is not over. That also includes the fight against the stigma often placed on people living with them. You can be a part of that fight by joining in the AIDS Walk Northwest, put on by the Cascade AIDS Project (CAP) this Saturday.
Andrew Tweedie, chief development officer of CAP and Kevin Cook (aka Poison Waters), director of Camp KC (Kids Connection) and the hostess of the AIDS Walk, joined AM Extra to discuss goals for this year's walk, the current conversation around HIV/AIDS and more.
The AIDS Walk Northwest will be at Tom McCall Waterfront Park Saturday, Sept. 28 from 9 a.m. to noon.
