OREGON CITY, Ore. (KOIN) – Three people died and 2 others were rushed to the hospital following a crash near the intersection of South Redland Road and South Bradley Road shortly after 2:30 a.m. Saturday, according to emergency dispatchers.
“Crews arrived and found two vehicles extremely damaged and immediately called a second alarm trauma in order to get more resources to the scene,” Clackamas County Fire District 1 spokesperson Steve Hoffeditz said.
Two people died on scene, according to firefighters.
Two other patients were sent to the hospital via two separate LifeFlight helicopters, and one was transported by ambulance. One of those people died on the way to the hospital. The others are being treated for serious injuries.
All 3 people who died were in the same car. Driver Dennis Raykin, 22, of Happy Valley, his front passenger Demetrius Johnson, 21 of Oregon City and a rear passenger, 28-year-old Kayla Kuntz of Oregon City, all died.
Another rear passenger, Lydia Tobler-Davis, 21 of Milwaukie, and the driver of the other car, 50-year-old Kimberly Millican of Oregon City, are being treated for life-threatening injuries at Portland hospitals.
Investigators said speed and alcohol are likely factors in this crash.
