PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Two people arrested during an officer-involved shooting last week at a Hillsboro hotel are accused of multiple counts of identity theft.
Hillsboro police took the woman and a man she was with into custody on Sept. 14. The pair had checked into the Extended Stay America on Northeast Eider Court earlier in the night using false identities and had a stolen car in the hotel’s parking lot, investigators said.
Officers confronted the man in a hallway. He pulled a gun on officers and Officer Jaime Williamson fired one shot from his own handgun. The man, who wasn’t hit, was injured as he struggled against police.
The woman, who was still inside the room, told officers her name was Peacelynn Butterfly Perilloux. Fingerprinting technology revealed her true identity to be 27-year-old Nicola Elizabeth Kostov, according to police. The real Perilloux was not involved.
The man, 34-year-old Elliot Satour Carr, was treated at a hospital for minor injuries. Carr and Kostov were booked at the Washington County Jail.
On Friday, a grand jury indicted Carr and Kostov on charges including aggravated theft, multiple counts of identity theft, possession of a stolen vehicle and possession and distribution of meth. Carr is also charged with unlawful use of a weapon.
Five officers with the Hillsboro Police Department were placed on standard administrative leave. Their names are Jaime Williamson, Michael Piper, Ernesto Villaraldo, Joey Edwards and Edgar Garcia-Garfias.
