In the home, police found the bodies of 3 people, later identified as husband Danny M. Abbott, 48, his wife Laury J. Abbott, 44, and their son Danny Abbott Jr., 6.

“They just moved in not too long ago,” an anonymous neighbor told KOIN 6 News. “There’s a little boy there, I know, and a dad, they are the only ones I really saw because they mow their lawn on our side.”

The neighbor said the family typically kept to themselves, but late Sunday night she heard noises coming from the home which she said sounded like an argument.

“I got up to listen and the only thing that I heard clearly was ‘what have you done’ or ‘look at what you’ve done,'” she said.

The news came as a shock to many in the neighborhood.

“I have kids, I have grandkids, I couldn’t imagine that,” Mellia Flat said. “It’s just yards from our house and literally nothing happens up here. It’s just sad because I just saw that little boy 3 days ago.”

Autopsies will be conducted Tuesday. The Rainier Police Department has applied for a search warrant.
