BEAVERTON, Ore. (KOIN) — A woman faces multiple charges after driving 83 mph in a 30 mph zone and crashing just after midnight in Beaverton, police said.
Ashley Lazorchak was headed west on SW Allen Boulevard when she crashed near the Rite Aid near SW Murray and then ran away, Beaverton police said. Officer brought in a K9 for tracking and found her around SW 150th and Village Lane.
A witness said the driver was doing about 80 mph before the crash, and accident reconstructionists said it was actually around 83 mph.
But she was wearing her seatbelt, officials said, which contributed to her surviving the crash. She was taken to a hospital for examination and a blood sample was taken. The results are not available at this time.
Lazorchak, 24, faces DUII, hit-and-run and reckless driving. She’s being held in the Washington County Jail.
