PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A 21-year-old UPS employee faces theft charges after an investigation by the White Collar Crimes Unit of the Portland Police Bureau.

Officials started their investigation after UPS reported packages from Microsoft weren’t making it to their final destination.

Detectives said Chad Love worked at the UPS sorting station on Swan Island. He was allegedly taking Microsoft products from the sorting line, hiding them in a bathroom, and then taking them home after work, then selling the stolen merchandise online to buyers across the country.

Love faces 5 counts of first-degree theft.
