PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -– A grand jury has issued a nine-count indictment against an 18-year-old who is linked to a gang related shooting that happened earlier this year.

Rashaud Demar Horsley was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center on Aug. 1, according to jail records.

On Aug. 14, the grand jury issued its indictment.

Horlsey is charged with one count of attempted murder with a firearm and attempted first-degree assault with a firearm. He is also charged with seven counts of unlawful use of a weapon.

The shooting happened March 26, 2015 around 5 p.m. near the intersection of Northeast 162nd and Hasley, according to police.

According to court records, Horsley “did unlawfully and intentionally attempt to cause the death of another human being.”

He is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday morning at the Multnomah County Justice Center. He remains in custody.

The case was investigated by the Portland Police Bureau’s Gang Enforcement Team and the East Metro Gang Task Force.
