PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Two people are now behind bars for their alleged role in the shooting death of Isaiah Kent on Thursday evening in Northeast Portland.

Clifford Lee Moffett, 34, was arrested shortly after the shooting Thursday. Terry Lee Spencer Jr., 24, early Saturday in a joint operation involving PPB, the Gang Enforcement Team, a Gresham PD SWAT unit and the US Marshals.

Moffett faces one count of murder. Spencer faces murder, attempted murder, unlawful use of a weapon and being a felon in possession of a firearm. He’s also being held on a parole violation.

Both men were unarmed at the time of their arrests and both waived their right to a probable cause hearing.

Spencer appeared in court on Monday. According to court records, he has been convicted of four felonies dating back to 2009 and is a registered sex offender.

He is scheduled to be back in court on March 8 for a 9:30 a.m. preliminary hearing.

Moffett is scheduled to appear in court on Monday afternoon.

Isaiah Kent was shot shortly before 6 p.m. at NE 6th and Alberta. The 28-year-old died a few hours later.
