PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A Roseburg area resident was arrested after deputies said he shot at a woman around 15 times in Green.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said the shooting happened Sunday in the area of Highway 99 and Grant Smith Road — near Taco Bell.
The woman was leaving work and being picked up when she was shot at. Despite the multiple rounds of gunfire, the woman and the person giving her a ride weren’t injured.
Deputies later identified 36-year-old Joshua Preston as the suspect. He and the woman know each other.
Preston was arrested on Tuesday without incident. He was lodged at the Douglas County Jail on multiple charges, including attempted assault, felon in possession of a firearm, unlawful use of a weapon, pointing a firearm at another, recklessly endangering, criminal mischief and menacing.
