PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A 15-year-old boy is accused of robbing and killing another teen whose body was discovered in a Northeast Portland motel room.

On Monday, a Multnomah County grand jury indicted Jerimiah Terrel Hannon on 2 counts of murder with a firearm, one count of first-degree robbery with a firearm and one count of 2nd-degree robbery with a firearm.

The body of 18-year-old Ian Olson was found Dec. 21, 2018 by a housekeeper at a Motel 6 on Northeast Holladay Street.

Portland police said Olson, who was from St. Helens, was shot to death.

It isn’t clear if Olson and Hannon knew each other.

Hannon is also accused of beating a man on a MAX train just 6 days after Olson’s body was found. The victim — Robert Valentino — was traveling with his wife and their 10-year-old daughter when a group of youths got on the train at the NE 60th MAX stop.

Two of the teens, including Hannon, allegedly beat Valentino in front of his family after he asked them to turn down their music. They knocked out 4 teeth and broke his jaw in 2 places.

Hannon was charged with 3 counts of assault including one felony assault, plus interfering with public transportation.

KOIN 6 News is identifying Hannon since he faces Measure 11 charges.
