PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The family of the man who was found dead inside the trunk of a burned car is offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
Andrew Patrick Hathaway, 28, was found murdered on Sept. 5 in the 6200 block of North Marine Drive. Initially, authorities responded to the report of a car on fire. However, as firefighters battled the blaze, they found a body inside the trunk.
The Oregon State Medical Examiner later determined Hathaway died of homicidal violence.

So far, no arrests have been made and there is no suspect information.
Authorities got a search warrant for the burned car and seized it as evidence.
The Chevrolet Impala belonged to Andrew Hathaway’s on-again/off-again girlfriend, Nikki Janke.
“It was just an extra car and he was using it for the time being,” she told KOIN 6 News back in October. She didn’t know where he was that night.
In October, Hathaway’s family put up hundreds of fliers around Portland asking anyone with information to come forward.
In addition to the family’s reward, Crime Stoppers if Oregon is also offering a reward of up to $2,500 cash to help solve the case.
