PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A 19-year-old who was critically injured after being shot in the St. Johns neighborhood Saturday night later died at a hospital, Portland Police Bureau said.
Officers from the Portland Police Bureau responded to a report of a shooting at N Columbia Way and N Midway Avenue just before 10 p.m. Upon their arrival, officers found the shooting victim and had him taken to a hospital.
Sunday night, police released an update saying the victim, Alexander Douglas Martinson, of Fairview, had died at a hospital. The Oregon State Medical Examiner will determine the official cause and manner of death.
