My dad was a test pilot in the Navy! Growing up, we lived on military bases, and moved every couple years.  It was an amazing experience and let me see lots of our beautiful country.

Go Gators! I spent 4 wonderful years in The Swamp, and I’m a proud graduate of the University of Florida (Class of 2013.)  If you’re not a Gator… you’re Gator bait!

While I was in college, I spent a summer studying abroad in Italy.  The art, the culture, the food… and the wine were all incredible.

One of my first jobs was at Universal Studios’ Islands of Adventure.  I spent a few summers working as a ride attendant in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter on a ride in Hogwarts Castle.  It sounds much cooler to say I “went to school” there. 🙂

Running is a hobby and a stress reliever! I love training for races.  I’ve run 3 full marathons and several half marathons.

I’ve also tried my hand at triathlons.  I was on swim team for many years so it’s nice to have a reason to get back in the pool.  My first Olympic distance triathlon was at Henry Hagg Lake!

One of my favorite trips I’ve ever taken was to Iceland.  I spent a week backpacking through part of the Laugavegur trek.  The views are incredible, it’s one of the coolest countries on earth.

Before moving to Portland, I started out in this business as a reporter at WCJB, TV20 in Gainesville Florida.  From there, I moved to WZVN-TV in Fort Myers.  Both stations gave me experience in the field reporting, and on the anchor desk, in all time slots!

Working in Florida meant covering hurricanes.  I’ve covered more than half a dozen from major storms to tropical storms.  Keeping all your gear dry is probably the hardest part!

I’m a huge foodie, I love to cook and try new restaurants.  But one of my favorite foods of all time has to be pizza (bonus points if it’s paired with a nice red.)
