PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Actor Christian Kane is a familiar face to many Portlanders: he lived in the Rose City for years while he filmed “Leverage” and “The Librarians.” He has a new show out now called “Almost Paradise”, and was supposed to talk to us about it during a trip to Portland this week, which was canceled because of coronavirus concerns. So instead, he joined AM Extra by Skype.

The ‘Leverage’ star is once again working with Dean Devlin on this WGN America action series. Kane tells us the show was set in the Philippines and features him as former DEA agent Alex Walker, who was forced into early retirement due to life threatening hypertension.

Kane says the Philippines seemed to be ahead of the United States when it came to concerns over the coronavirus, and they had just finished filming the 10 episodes when things started shutting down. He says the airport closed soon after they left.

Kane says he is working on some upcoming projects, but everything is currently on hold because of COVID-19.

To catch Christian Kane in “Almost Paradise” you can watch on our sister station WGN America, Amazon or go to Electric Entertainment
