PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Some senior facilities trying to keep residents safe from COVID-19 infections now are tasked with protecting residents from poor air quality — and being ready to evacuate at a moment’s notice if necessary.

The air quality in particular has forced many people indoors. Thus, following coronavirus protocols becomes especially challenging for staff at senior homes.

Vice President of Clinical Services with Avamere, Melissa Bruce, joined AM Extra Tuesday to talk about her group’s effort in protecting seniors.
