PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The pandemic has certainly limited restaurants, but Portland’s food carts keep rolling.
A new Food Cart Finder was launched this week by Travel Portland which lets you search through more than 200 food carts and many types of cuisine. You can type in specific dishes and filter a search based upon dietary needs, including gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options.
“It puts it all in one place and it makes it really easy for visitors to Portland that may not know where these carts are, but also for locals to find something new that maybe they’ve never been to before,” said. Marcus Hibdon, the Director of Communications and Public Relations for Travel Portland.
You can also try out the “Near Me Now” online tool to find what carts are in your neighborhood, or wherever you are in the city.
The web-based directory is in the pilot phase. Hibdon says Travel Portland will continue to update and add new food carts to the list. If you operate a food cart in Portland and would like to be added, click here for more information.
