NORTH BONNEVILLE, Wash. (KOIN) — A local resort is shutting down, and a new upscale rehab facility will take its place.
The Bonneville Hot Springs Resort and Spa in Skamania County is the one being shut down.
In 2017, it’ll be home to the Foundations Recovery Network, a drug and alcohol treatment facility.
North Bonneville City Administrator Steve Hasson said the new center would add more than 300 year-round jobs.
“New jobs, growth, [and] financing, my ability to then provide more services to the public because we will have more revenue coming in,” said Hasson.
The resort was set to close on December 18 but after an overwhelming response they will now stay open until January 3.
