PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Oregonians are no strangers to coffee shops, and a popular chain just opened its first location in Lake Oswego.
Kohr Harlan checked out The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf at 1175 McVey Avenue with a look at what’s on its menu.
The global chain has more than a thousand stores, but the Lake Oswego location is the first to open in the Pacific Northwest. From croissants to salads, the coffee shop offers a wide variety of snacks, along with its specialty tea and coffee.
Owners Daniel Nguyen and Katherine Lam say the chain is very particular in the quality of its products as the company sources from the top 1% of the coffee beans in the world.
“After two years of isolation and the pandemic, I think we just want to create a place where a community can come meet face-to-face and connect,” said Lam.
