PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A celebration of German culture returns to Mt. Angel this weekend.
If you can’t wait until the fall for Oktoberfest, you can check out Volksfest starting on Friday. The sausage celebration features live entertainment and food from local vendors. This includes Mt. Angel Sausage Company — offering a special applewood-smoked pork and beef sausage for the fest, which will also be available in packs to go.
Local beer, wine and cider companies from Silver Falls Brewery and Paradis Vineyards to Bauman’s Cider will also be at the fest.
Volksfest is open from 11 a.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
