PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Two people died in shootings in Salem in the early hours of Sunday, August 4.
Salem police said the shootings are unrelated, though they happened less than a mile apart.
The first shooting was at Englewood Park just before 1 a.m. The victim, 16-year-old Ishaq Saleem, died at the hospital.
No suspect information is available.
Hours later at 3:19 a.m., police were called to a home on NE 22nd Street and found a person who had been shot. They also died at the hospital.
A suspect in that shooting is being questioned.
