PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Issac Velazquez has a new ride for next week’s Junior Parade thanks to Magic Wheelchair.

The organization built a military looking jeep to place over his wheelchair.

“I will come outside to get on this vehicle just to make sure they follow me because I want to be the leader of the band,” Isaac says.

Mark Lane, who oversaw the building of the special chair, was excited for the 16-year-old Grant High School student.

“These builds like this allow these kids to be the center of attention. You see all these kids just running around, they all want to be a part of this. They want to connect to this and that’s what it’s all about  – that’s what Magic Wheelchair is all about,” Lane says.
